"texting" gloves?

Hey, check out these $22 "texting gloves" from FredFlare.com
Pretty cool huh? I bet you could make these youself (a basic fingerless glove pattern would work and then just modify it) for a lot less money...

french sayings of the week

Copied from one of my emails, but heck I needed filler. Perhaps the emailee might even read this and get a good laugh about how I re-use my emails on my blog. Hahaha!

"Je suis extrêmement occupé avec plusieurs projets en ce moment."

I am extremely busy with several projects right now.

"fais tout ce que tu veux"

Do whatever you like to do.

''Ce n'est pas un adieu, juste un au revoir.''

Goodbye is not forever. [my favorite]

And, for Katie, sacrebleu, which means something like, "Zounds, Oh My Gosh, etc" ;]

Easy Fashion Tips: Leggins

by Yissel C.

Everything in fashion makes a fashion "comeback," including leggings, the fashion staple of the early 80's that evolved from the rise of the aerobics and fitness trend. Since 2005, we've seen leggings evolve in stylish new fabrics and colors to either compliment or complete an outfit.

For fall, stocking-like leggings work best underneath a skirt or dress. Leggings are also a popular look for underneath oversized long sweaters. However, the only way this trend has continued to stay strong over the recent years, is having designers re-vamp the leggings in order to keep it fresh and new, offering prints and details to its simplistic lycra design.

Ed Hardy's Butterfly Skull & Roses Basic Leggings add an artistic flare to a simple wardrobe. These are best worn underneath an oversized solid color sweater or for a rock glam look that fits the Ed Hardy brand, dare to wear them with a pair of destroyed denim shorts, a simple white t-shirt and an edgy cropped leather jacket. Some of the more popular style leggings seen over the recent seasons have been "liquid leggings" or those that reflect a patent leather look. BCBG Max Azria's Snake Legging takes that great look and adds a snake-skin texture for a cool must have piece.

Exposed zippers have been the most recent rave in fashion, and it has not gone unnoticed by designers who are adding this stylish detail to every garment possible, including leggings. Juicy Couture's Legging W/Side Zippers are a great way to spice up a boring outfit. Just slip a pair of these on, with a simple oversized t-shirt and some bold accessories and you'll have pulled off that effortlessly cool look seen by some of Hollywood's trendiest stars.

Leggings are a great fashion piece, especially for their simple-to-wear and comfortable style. Look for leggings to be around for a few more seasons and for their detailing to continue to evolve. Some other great styles are ruching, lace, and now even cut and destroyed styles.

Whichever piece you wear, remember to keep the top simple...these aren't your usual step aerobics leggings anymore! ~ Zappos Blogs
[Liz's Notes: I personally LOVE leggings, but these fashion icons are mainly for younger fashionistas. They just don't suit older folks. If you want the look without the whole legging, try calf-length leg warmers over skinny jeans.]

MODCLOTH!

Hey! Today I'd like to review a site that I will just say now is totally AWESOME! www.modcloth.com is a vintage, chic website featuring one of kind clothes, shoes, accessories, and more all for very affordable prices. Below I copied the "About Us" section from the website so you can read their amazing story...

Just a Girl in a Thrift Store...It’s hard to believe that’s how ModCloth began!

"In high school, I fell in love with vintage fashion and the thrill of scouring thrift stores or estate sales for amazing finds. No matter what the size, I couldn't leave a beautiful piece of clothing behind. I'd buy it for a friend or swear to use the buttons someday, and I started to acquire quite a collection.

"Then, during the summer after our senior year, my techie boyfriend, Eric, helped me create ModCloth. It was very small at first. We only had a few items in each category, but we had a sale on the very first day!

"We left for Carnegie Mellon University together in the fall, and I continued running the site- writing descriptions, talking to customers, taking photos, and shipping clothing from my dorm room. ModCloth slowly grew, and by graduation in 2006, Eric and I had to decide whether to pursue the business full-time or keep it as a hobby on the side.

"I loved running the site and couldn't imagine doing anything else, so with some family support and our pug, Winston, by our side, we decided to jump in! Eric worked on the business side of things, while I set out to discover even more amazing vintage and indie fashion. Eric and I arrived at our first trade show, and were surrounded by miles of clothing without any idea of how the industry worked! We quickly caught on, though, and ModCloth began to grow! Word soon spread about the indie designers we carried, and we had to carry even more to meet our customers' requests.

"Today, the ModTeam is full of people who love fashion and fun! I travel with our buyers across the globe to find new up-and-coming designers, our Creative Teams works hard to bring you new items every day, the Warehouse Team wraps your order with love, and Customer Care works hard to keep a smile on your face. "But most importantly, none of this would be possible without you! We're happy that you're part of our story, and we're looking forward to many adventures to come!!\ Love, Susan"

I recently visited their website and clicked on their link for ''Homecoming''. My mouth dropped in awe. Everything from chic dresses to crazy tights, shoes, and accessories was only a sample of ModCloth's genius. Just click on the Sale page and be prepared to be blown away! The items they offer could be worn as costumes or for everyday! Because they find designers around the world, many of their items are uniquely one-of-a-kind and all around adorable. I've ranted enough, go see for yourself! ! ! !
